Representing the HBCUs, Dr. Jaideep Chaudhary, Dean of the School of Arts and Science at Clark Atlanta University, underscored that “STEM is more than just a collection of subjects—it’s a way of shaping the world for the better. By investing in STEM education…we’re investing in a brighter future for all of us.” He noted that careers in STEM fields are growing faster than in many other sectors with the demand for skilled professionals rising. “Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) play a crucial role,” he said, “producing nearly 25% of all Black bachelor's degrees in STEM in the U.S.”
