FOSSI Leadership
FOSSI is made possible by the American Chemistry Council (ACC), the American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AIChE), Chemours, and HBCU Week Foundation.
The American Chemistry Council (ACC) represents the leading companies engaged in the business of chemistry. ACC and our members are committed to being a positive force for a more diverse, inclusive and equitable society, a priniciple that is reflected in our existing commitments to sustainability.
The American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AIChE) is a professional society of more than 60,000 chemical engineers in 110 countries. Its members work in corporations, universities, and government using their knowledge of chemical processes to develop safe and useful products for the benefit of society.
Chemours is a different kind of chemistry company that believes in balancing the essential with the responsible to build a more colorful, capable, and cleaner world. We bring solutions to a variety of markets that are better, safer, more reliable, and more sustainable, through the power of chemistry.
The mission of the HBCU Week Foundation is to encourage high-school aged youth to enroll into HBCU's, provide scholarship dollars for matriculation and sustain a pipeline for employment from undergraduate school to corporate America.
Being a FOSSI scholar is a great opportunity and I am excited to take advantage of everything the program offers. This award will keep me accountable in all facets of my college experience because I've been given a standard to maintain and as a FOSSI scholar, I am now representing more than just myself.
