My name is Skye Taylor and I am from Gonzales, Louisiana. I am a recent graduate from East Ascension High School. In the Fall, I will attend Southern University in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. I plan to major in Mechanical Engineering with a minor in Supply Chain Management.
FOSSI: Why are you passionate about pursuing a degree in a STEM-related field?
Pursuing a degree in a STEM-related field allows me to be creative. I can use my creativity to find solutions, solve problems, and change how people live. There are unlimited ways that I can impact society as a mechanical engineer.
FOSSI: Share a few fun facts about yourself.
A fun fact about me is that I was Miss Donaldsonville Juneteenth 2019 and 2020. I am also interested in robotics (animatronics) and prosthetics.
