FOSSI: Tell us a bit about yourself?

Hi, I'm Ethan McLean and I graduated from The Oakridge School in Arlington, Texas. I have two sisters, one of which is a junior at North Carolina A&T State University and the other is an upcoming junior in high school. In school I was a student athlete, participating in 4 sports a year while also taking all AP classes.

While in school, I founded and was the vice-president of the African American Culture Club and successfully launched our first black history month program. Throughout my high school career, I have served and collected over 100 community service hours and participated in 4 college level STEM programs including neuropsychology, pharmacology, and nanotechnology. This past season, we were basketball conference champions and placed 3rd in the conference 4x100 meter relay in track.

Fun Facts about Ethan

I have played nearly every sport imaginable, including basketball, football, wrestling, track, cross country, lacrosse, tennis, and pole vault. I am an avid reader and I have over 100 books in my collection, including my favorites, Clockwork Prince by Cassandra Claire and The Bell Jar by Sylvia Plath. In my free time, my favorite thing to do is go to the gym and work out or play basketball with my friends. I can also play the viola, piano, and I am currently learning guitar.
