FOSSI: Tell us a bit about yourself.
My name is Quincy Stoker. I enjoy laughing, having fun and making memories with those close to me. I'm also a percussionist who will be participating in the notorious Sonic Boom of The South. I am a civil engineering major.
FOSSI: Why are you passionate about pursuing a degree in a STEM-related field?
I am passionate about pursuing a degree in STEM because STEM is the future and I want to be apart of something that is bigger than myself. Furthermore, I want to be able to enjoy my career while also impacting lives and inspiring the next generation of students interested in STEM.
FOSSI: Why is receiving the FOSSI scholarship important for you?
Receiving the FOSSI scholarship is important to me as it will help my family and myself out with my college necessities, allowing me to focus on school and pursue my career. Furthermore, I believe this will help me network with companies and acclimated individuals within the STEM field.
This scholarship is nothing short of a blessing, as it will be a vital support in my educational journey.
