FOSSI: How has the FOSSI Scholarship impacted your experience at Spelman College?
The FOSSI Scholarship has helped me navigate through networking in STEM spaces.
FOSSI: How are your studies going – what are the biggest challenges and what do you like most?
The biggest challenge so far has been not creating time for myself to have uninterrupted study time. However, I improved that skill over time and am doing much better with that now.
I was always told "everything should come easy to you," so I never developed proper study habits but now I can say that I finally learned how to study. Learning how to study correctly has been a huge blessing!
FOSSI: What extra-curricular activities are you enjoying on campus?
I am a part of ROTC, CodeHouse, and the Morehouse Filmmakers Association.
FOSSI: Tell us about your experience at your internship with a
FOSSI sponsor company.
I had the opportunity of interning as a software engineer with PayPal and enjoyed the privilege to experience what it is like to work at a fortune 500 company while also still learning and growing as a computer science student and woman in STEM.
